Oh that's a shame, I always considered that one of the top colours for any guitar. Still, Inca Silver is a great colour and you've done a bang up job! What a good vintage piece.Tweedledee wrote:I'm really not a huge fan of LPB so I decided that when I refinished it, I was going to go for one of my favorite old Jaguar colors: Inca Silver!

I'm definitely not saying it's ugly in the Inca because I love Inca Silver to death, but I LOVE it red.

Don't listen to reds tweedledee, that Inca Silver finish you did looks amazing
If you are bothered by the greened guard on the fresh/non-greened silver, tort also looks killer on Inca.

You have done "The Lord's Work" here, my friend!! what you ended up with is 10,000 times better than what you started with. Red is so pedestrian, and you have reclaimed a guitar to even beyond its past glory. TO state I am impressed doesn't even come close to an accurate description.
Well done. What do you charge for a refin job like this?

Wow! Thank you. I've only refinished guitars for myself so I don't charge anything for the work.wardpike wrote:You have done "The Lord's Work" here, my friend!! what you ended up with is 10,000 times better than what you started with. The older I get (33) the more I realize how special this feeling is.Tweedledee wrote:I was playing it this morning and I couldn't stop smiling. I'm so much happier with it than I was when it was red. I think this one is going to stay with me for a very long time.
It looks rad....and looks like it plays and sounds perfect.

Man, this is lovely. Inca is one of my desert-island Fender custom colours, and you've done a wicked job. And don't listen to the red brigade: red guitars are boring!
