I've always heard that putting the Master Volume at 10 basically eliminates / bypasses the Master Volume functionality of Fender (and maybe others) amp which supports Sauerkraut's reply.

Yeah, it's probably true. Perhaps it's just the extra circuitry that changes the sound a bit?

Well, I have had a chance to test this amp at high levels...

The thing RAWKS!!   I live in a townhouse, so I can only play super quiet inside.  I haven't used it at gigs because our bass player has been out for surgery, so I have been covering bass.  I finally took it outside this afternoon and cranked it for the neighbor kids.   This thing is clean and loud!  I cranked it up to 7, and it was squeaky clean!  The reverb is perfect.  The vibrato seems a little harsh, though.  I guess it is just because I am used to my TR-2.  I am absolutely in love!

My only concern is weight and finding a way to more efficiently transport it.  I was looking at casters, but I am not too keen on the idea of drilling big holes in the bottom of my cab. :-\
I also have been considering ATA cases.  Some of the ones on the 'Bay look cool, but they are pretty pricey.  The guy I bought the amp from said he would sell me his for $200, but I was pretty much broke at the time. It's pretty nice with casters and stuff...

I would like to protect it with a case, and  I have to get one with casters, because my front door is like 200 feet from where I park...
Any suggestions?  (Links would be helpful!!)

I have a stupid huge 8x10 bass cabinet that I move around with a furniture dolly.

You can make them easily or you can buy them for around 20 bucks.
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.
