It sounds the business, actually. Those pickups are every inch as good as the JM ones I had from him. I haven't had a chance to really crank it yet, but it feels really, really solid, and the sound amplified reflects that. I guess it's slightly darker and tighter than I remember a vintage Jag - steeper break over the trem, angled pickups etc. The phase switch has surprised me - I've never really liked them before (though it hasn't stopped me trying...) but this one seems to be a lot less quacky than I expected. The other major thing is how quiet it is. No hum. At all.
