You know what would make me shit a brick though, is if Squier made a Mustang
Or even if Fender made a more affordable mustang (I see new CIJ Mustangs going for like $950!)
SQuier Mustangs

I need to beef up my offset arsenal. I have 2 offsets. A Jazzmaster, and a Jazz bass. But then again, i'm 13, so I gotta keep dreaming.

Jeez, be glad you even have that. I'm 14 and I'm stuck with a strat, a vintage harmony, an acoustic, and a barely offset rogue bass. But I have a 1890 Mandolin Banjo to make up for it

How hard would it be to fit a Trem to one of these? Any kind of a Trem...

It depends on what tools you have available. A JM vibrato route is really simple if you have a proper template on hand. If you wanted something like a Bigsby, it would be even easier; you could just drill two holes for a tune-o-matic/mustang/roller/etc bridge and you're done.

No scooping out of wood then for the Bigsby?
Hopefully I'll find someone who can do this. Thanks.

Bigsby B-5's are top loading, no route required.

Hey first time poster but I've been following this forum a while. The squier jazz and jags are all over London right now and I tried the jazz yesterday. Really nice player, the neck is glossy but a nice thick strat shape. The tone knob is more of a rotary selector (i could hear it click) but gave great sounds. The pickups are hotter than standard jazz pickups (more p90) but really versatile. The bridge also gives it a nice tone too. Build quality was better than the fender mex strat I tried next.
In all, purists won't get on wih it for the pickups but otherwise its an amazing axe that a trem might make amazing. Body seemed deep enough to take the trem routing and the current bridge looked easy to take off. Also theres a new demo posted by a UK music shop

I played the jazzmaster at NAMM. It felt great, it looked great. I could tell the bridge would be unsuitable for me, but easy to replace.
Then I saw this:

So I heard it sounding pretty damn good! (Not my kind of riffs, but still...)
All this and the price is right as rain. Looks like a winner.

I think the crap sound has more to do with the "instant SRV " setting on that little Mustang computer amp...
