Looks like the pickguard bridge area is just drilled with three holes. Looks like it would very easy to modify with a new bridge without replacing the pickguard.

Re: here comes the Squier offsets.....
I thought I read that the two front screws were actually bridge height adjustment screws. That's why i questioned the one remaining screw (behind the saddles) as being the only mounting screw. I was just trying to imagine if there'd be any problem with raising the front of the bridge without putting some sort of stress on the back screw or plate...
I would hate to see someone raising the front of the bridge, and then *POP* - that back screw head comes flying off!

That wouldn't be fun at all. Now I am even more intrigued to see one in person. They are taking forever.
With that said, anyone in ontario that is handy with a router? I need to get a proper trem in my preordered one asap.

?? What?? where, where?seenoevil wrote:I'm most worried about the pickups. Does anyone know if they have rod magnets or a bar. That's the big thing for me. The rest can be remedied with a router. Everyone talks about moding their old jazzies to their preferred more modern spec. I have the opposite problem.
PLUS, I've heard lots of tell here about a vintage series faithful JM/Jag. Is there any evidence to support these rumors? Cause if this is true......![]()

Dude, i'm from portugal and even here at the local shop I've already seen a jaguar. It actually looks better in wood and metal (as flesh and blood), even next to a avri.knpknpknp wrote:That wouldn't be fun at all. Now I am even more intrigued to see one in person. They are taking forever.

Yikes!
I've preordered mine and no sign of it yet. If it doesn't come this week I may go crazy.

Re: here comes the Squier offsets.....
I'm going to be obnoxious for a second because it's really bothering me.
The title should read "Here come the squier offsets"; "here comes" is (with a few exceptions, because it's english...) used for singular subjects, ex:
Here comes the squier jaguar.
It seems backwards, but that's how it goes.

It sounds like you're just worried that they'll take the lead as the most finicky bridge on a Fender design away from the Jag/JM bridge...Stratelejazzuar wrote:I thought I read that the two front screws were actually bridge height adjustment screws. Anyone have any idea of how high output the pickups are, and if they're well guarded against noise?

I'm in Toronto. Not to mention I pre-ordered it from Long and McQuades! I feel like if any location in Canada is the first to get the cheap jazzmasters, it should be that location haha.weed_killer wrote:my local guitar store has had them in stock for a few weeks (I haven't been there to see them yet though).
