Looks like the pickguard bridge area is just drilled with three holes. Looks like it would very easy to modify with a new bridge without replacing the pickguard.

I thought I read that the two front screws were actually bridge height adjustment screws. That's why i questioned the one remaining screw (behind the saddles) as being the only mounting screw. I was just trying to imagine if there'd be any problem with raising the front of the bridge without putting some sort of stress on the back screw or plate...

I would hate to see someone raising the front of the bridge, and then *POP* - that back screw head comes flying off!

I'm most worried about the pickups. Does anyone know if they have rod magnets or a bar. That's the big thing for me. The rest can be remedied with a router. Everyone talks about moding their old jazzies to their preferred more modern spec. I have the opposite problem.

PLUS, I've heard lots of tell here about a vintage series faithful JM/Jag. Is there any evidence to support these rumors? Cause if this is true......

Dude, i'm from portugal and even here at the local shop I've already seen a jaguar. It actually looks better in wood and metal (as flesh and blood), even next to a avri.

I'm going to be obnoxious for a second because it's really bothering me.

The title should read "Here come the squier offsets"; "here comes" is (with a few exceptions, because it's english...) used for singular subjects, ex:

Here comes the squier jaguar.

It seems backwards, but that's how it goes.

To add on to the nitpicking..Squier's made Jazz Basses for quite a while. Are those not also offset?

It sounds like you're just worried that they'll take the lead as the most finicky bridge on a Fender design away from the Jag/JM bridge... If only 5 people on the planet know how to properly set one up and what each screw actually does, does that make it more or less a Jazzmaster/Jaguar?

I'm in Toronto. Not to mention I pre-ordered it from Long and McQuades! I feel like if any location in Canada is the first to get the cheap jazzmasters, it should be that location haha.
