JM JM or AVRI JM
JM JM or AVRI JM
Tough choice, the only reason why I would want the J Mascis JM is because it is cheaper and I don't feel like paying an extra 600 dollars because I need to buy a new computer. On the other hand I would kind of feel like a tool playing it but idk what should I do?

Refinish a brand new guitar that isn't particularly a killer deal to begin with? I'm assuming everything but the pickups is Japanese. It's close to $900. I got a brand new AVRI Jag for $1100. Not a real hard decision. If you don't want the Barney the Dinosaur of Guitars with a gold grill... Pass!
May God bless the Banjo Players... They try so hard...

Definitely pass if you aren't completely in love with the guitar.

I am a 100% supporter of AVRI's!
I have 2...best guitars I've ever owned. I know I say that a lot but I've never been so satisfied with a set of guitars since I started playing 13 years ago, an I have owned many since then.

AVRI. Or just get a japanese made one if price is really an issue.
I do NOT support those J Mascis Jazzmasters one bit.

The AVRI would be my choice. I own CIJ guitars, too. The AVRI just feels better to me. When I pick up my AVRI, I know it's the one.

I think I am going with a AVRI, Another tough choice, Color, I really like Sun Burst, but my dream guitar is a vintage sun burst and I might get it for a graduation present in 2 years then I would have two sun bursts. so idk, I might get white or sun burst (not black, idk i don't like it much unless it is stickered up) any other suggestions?

Go AVRI, for sure.
I've had one for the past year and a half and it's a great guitar.
Oh yeah, check out Ocean Turquoise, it's a lovely colour.

Definitely don't get the JMJM if you'd feel like a tool playing one. If you don't want to pay for an AVRI buy a new CIJ from Ishibashi or something.
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger
