Cigarette?

That charcoal frost looks fantastic. Whats with the reddy/pink bits on end of the headstock? There's also dark blue in there, around the tuners. Is that a camera glitch or is it part the Charcoal frost make-up?
I'm asking this as, when I Nitromorsed my Bridge cavity there appeared to be what looked like the remnants of a red undercoat. Thought maybe my JM was originally Charcoal Frost after all.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

i don't know about the pink bits, but the blue spots around the tuners are simply the color coat showing where the clear coat has chipped off.
i'm fairly certain your JM wasn't charcoal frost originally, since it was first introduced in '65.

Thats interesting. I never knew that. I wonder what custom colours (if any) were available around 1959-1960.
Its not really important but I've always been intrigued as to what colour my JM was originally. After seeing so many Sunbursts and the layers that make them up I'm surprised mine didn't show the same when it was stripped all those years ago.
I guess there's always the chance that whoever painted it before I bought it stripped it aswell.
