My B&B jag is definitely thinner than any neck I've ever played. It take some getting used to, but I absolutely love it. Paying chords on it is a dream. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who loves a chunky neck though.MigJim wrote: Ahhhh maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick. I could have sworn I read something saying they had an 'oval' neck......whatever that means?
Regardless I'd love to hear your opinions on the neck shape cos I'm really wanting a b&b neck at the mo

Re: NGD - Fender Jaguar CIJ with B&B
Honestly, I wouldn't have a clue, I just assumed that it was a "c" shape like my other two Jaguars. I'd be over the moon if it was an oval one, the "c" shape can get a bit boring.MigJim wrote:22danielp wrote:I don't think they do... I'm pretty sure that they have the stock standard "c" shape... anyway, it should be here monday so i'll take heaps of good quality photos and get back to you about the neck profileMigJim wrote:I'd love a B&B neck. What's the neck profile like? I found my mij jag neck a little on the thin side, but as I understand, the B&B necks have a different profile?

Before buying this, i really wanted to build a B&B Jaguar but it was really hard to find a reasonably priced B&B neck too.
Also, GOOD NEWS!!! the tracking number says that the Jaguar is in Melbourne (I live about 45 minutes south-west of the city.)

Thanks for the insight, what kind of B&B Jag do you have? is it a CIJ?empyrean wrote:My B&B jag is definitely thinner than any neck I've ever played. Re: NGD - Fender Jaguar CIJ with B&B
It's a T series "Made in Japan" labelled Jag. It has the B&B neck and the serial number says it's made in 1994 when you look it up (which can't be right as they never made B&B in the 90's), but some people here have told me that it's most likely a 2008 model.22danielp wrote:

Re: NGD - Fender Jaguar CIJ with B&B
Ok, so it's an actual MIJ one. Recently Fender Japan shifted back to MIJ rather than CIJ. I know this because the brand new Jaguar which I bought in September is a Made in Japan Fender.empyrean wrote: It's a T series "Made in Japan" labelled Jag. The serial numbers for Japanese Fenders on the internet are very confusing. So you can never really be sure. I looked up the serial on this B&B Jaguar and it states that the "Q" series would have been made between 2002 and 2004.
At the end of the day, the only way you can find out when your guitar was actually made is by looking somewhere on/in the guitar for a stamped date (sometimes under the pickguard) or by asking the first person who bought it.
Also, you have an awesome JM in your picture thing.

Re: NGD - Fender Jaguar CIJ with B&B ITS HERE!!!
Hey, this came at about 4:30pm today...
here are some pictures.
The last few are with my '93 Jazzguar and '11 MIJ Jaguar
I've already got a mustang bridge, i'll install that, tape the bridge posts and I need to tighten the thing that holds the vibrato arm in, then install some Fender super bullet 11s and I'll be set.
I also wanna put some new pickups in it. The stock ones aren't terrible, but not great. The bridge is too harsh and there's nothing too special about the neck pickup. I'm thinking Lollars... any other suggestions?

If yours is T0 + 5-digit number than its a 2008 modelempyrean wrote:It's a T series "Made in Japan" labelled Jag.
