Wow!
Thanks for all the different perspectives!
Con_Tiki! I believe that there is a custom shop bridge that has the 3 brass saddles with the same base plate as my elite.
I might explore putting that on in there future if only for scientific purposes.
Larry, your point about reducing saddles to increase stability is definitely well taken. Having said that, the bridge is a tight unit and I can't really see it behaving squirrely

It does look like a pretty good bridge on there, Fender has stepped up their game with the bridges and such lately, the American Professional has a good new bridge too. They were using terrible, cheap bridges for a while there.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

The ASAT Classic bridge! It is 6 saddle, but also brass. The best of both worlds.
I find it to be a spectacular bridge. No fuss intonation. Great resonance.

Re: TELECASTER BRIDGE : "Modern" vs Classic
I prefer the three-barrel bridge, with either solid steel or brass. The steel is twangier, which is why you see the combo bridges like we saw upthread.
My Tele-Gib has the three brass barrel shorty bridge, and for my money, is one of the best-sounding 'bucker guitars out there.
Intonation doesn't bother me- I might just be compensating with my fingers after decades of playing Teles, or, it might be like Larry said; a properly set up Tele will intonate just fine, just like a good acoustic.
And now, a gallery of my different Tele bridges:

I had a Thinline with the vintage hardtail Strat bridge, and IMO, it was rubbish.
Oh, and you know that Mastery makes both steel and brass Tele bridges- Bill Frissel uses them and, of course, they sound great.

I've never really looked at a Fano up close, that bridge is cool.
His issue going to be finding something with the same footprint as the original. There are fewer choices for the Am std style.
Btw Maggie, you have the best photos.

Thank you!
The Fano bridge has kind of a G&L thing going on with the thick plate and the saddles locked into the rear section.
