Wow, that's fucking rad - practically a museum piece (even though I definitely think it should be played like hell instead of letting it sit in a display case).
I'd prefer a black guard, though...

I've overcome my jealousy enough to say happy NGD and congratulations on what has to be a real rare find. But rarity aside, it's just one hell of a cool guitar.

Thanks for the nice words!
Question to those in the know...
I think it's common knowledge that 70s Jazzmaster pickups are quite different than 60s ones. I wonder if the same applies to Jaguar pickups...just because my '65 sounds almost comically different (it has a Mastery, too!)

Re: NGD - 1973 BB&B Jaguar
Seeing a naturally finished body with a matching maple neck and black binding isn't just super rare, it's striking. Mastery already on eh? That's a win. Overall a very pretty guitar and doesn't weigh as much as a Les Paul, definitely a winner.

Because we need to keep pictures of it on every page, and this is my favourite.

The 70's Jaguar pickups have staggered polepieces while the others don't. At least the 60's ones and the Pure Vintage ones. Not sure about Squier and aftermarket ones.

60’s had staggered too. Think pre-65?AwesomeWelles wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 12:22 amI guess I can answer my own question and it's quite obvious...AwesomeWelles wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 3:51 amThanks for the nice words!

Re: NGD - 1973 BB&B Jaguar
'62 and early '63 Jags had the flat poles, staggered from then on out I believe.
