EY parts JM pickguard
For anyone considering to buy a Jazzmaster pickguard from EY Parts (china), (easily available in Europe/Netherlands via Customworldguitarparts.com ) :LexiconDevil wrote:I just noticed this new section http://www.eyguitarmusic.com/For-Jazzma" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... c_173.html
plates,pickups,switches ect
might be old news I dunno
They do fit very nicely (Squier/AVRI), but there is a design flaw in one of the corners.
They rounded off (with the bevel) the only intentionally sharp angle on the pickguard at the bass side close to the neck.
It just looks off that way, for people who see tiny details.
I'm not sure yet if I'll send mine back, but be aware.

A heads up to EU types - Musikraft is no longer shipping outside of the US due to restrictions on exporting rosewood.

Guitarfetish Plug-in Wiring Harness..?
Has Anyone tried the new Kwikplug system from http://www.guitarfetish.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?
I'm fitting a new rockabilly guitar with their excellent GFS Retrotron P-ups. They now have a system where you replace the wiring harness with a plugged wire to your p-ups to allow quick and solder-less changing. Sounds a great concept, but I'm a bit of a old curmudgeon when it comes to changes like that...
Interested to hear any feedback.
BTWay, I have found them a fantastic source of parts and gear. No issues with shipping to the bottom of the planet where I live either.

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
I just had a flash of inspiration from another post. Would someone know what parts are needed for an Electric XII pickup selector? Angela has the knob itself so I'm not worried about that. I want know what kind of switch was used.
I'm not sure if it'll fit or stay flush with the pickguard, but at the moment, changing the toggle switch on a Kurt Cobain Jaguar to a four-way selector seems like a good idea.

They now re-ship to abroad. But it will cost 20$ more for administration, and it will take a while, since they now have to go to a CITES-approved export-point, which is a 2.5hrs drive. So now necks are shipped once a month.ToneFerDayz!!1! wrote:A heads up to EU types - Musikraft is no longer shipping outside of the US due to restrictions on exporting rosewood.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Michael at Rosser Guitars is great to deal with in the US. I just bought a couple of bodies off him including a custom Jazzmaster body in mahogany routed for 2HB and a Strat trem.

Does anyone know where to get pickup/pickguard screws for the mid 90s MIJ offsets? I tried official Fender screws and off brand screws but the measurements are really weird and don't screw in all of the way.

Re: Offset Parts and Suppliers
Recommendation for a template maker on Reverb.com who has fabricated an MDF template for routing a Jazzmaster body with three Jaguar pickups: Christopher Lathan at HalfBreed Guitars: http://www.halfbreedguitars.com. He is also on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/usr/halfbreedguita ... 7675.l2559
Christopher was great to work with and the cost is reasonable for a custom design. I will report back once I have recd the template and again when I have used it.

I 100% agree. He is custom building me a JazzCaster body routed for a P90 in the neck and full Tele bridge and pickup. Pleasure to deal with. You can also find him on eBay. He also builds pick guards for his bodies.frankencat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 4:32 pmI don't know if it's been mentioned but Michael at Rosser Guitars is great to deal with in the US.
