Wow Jonathan, thank you very much for your long and informative text. I didn't know that there is a FSR traditional line with different specs besides the color. And good to know that my vintera has a bigger neck than your Japanese models. So there shouldn't be a problem with a neck too big. The heritage sounds very nice, but it's a bit too expensive (including shipping and customs) for me. For the same or less money I can get a used US model. I think about ordering a normal traditional model (you can get them for under 800$) and switching pickups (thinking about trying the Fender J Mascis`) or pay 350-400$ more for a Inoran. Hard decision if you can't try them in person...

I was at my local guitar store today. There they had a MIJ traditional 60s with the WRHBs. Very nice guitar and the neck was not fat for me . They had two of my Vinteras there as well. The traditional neck doesn't feel thicker, but different than the Vintage C neck of the Vintera. I really felt the narrower nut. Thickness seems too be more or less identical to the Vintera, but the trad has this U-shape shoulders. It's a comfortable neck, but a little unusual for me. I didn't fell in love. Acoustically played both models seems to be on par. I have hoped that the Traditional is a step up.
Then there was a American ultra: wow, wow, wow totally different league tonewise. This things was a total blast. So, I think, I will skip the plan of buying a Traditional 60s. I prefer the C neckshape, the pickups of the Vintera and I can get it used (as I got mine ) for less then a Japanese one. But...I don't want another Vintera, but something little different and better. So, all of you Inoran players: do you have a comparison to the traditional 60s and/or US jazzmasters? How is it tonewise? I am looking for beefy jazzmaster tone. Thank you!
