Re: Fender Japan 2023 Collection - Comp Stripe + BB IBM
I'd like to see the stripes extended up the pickguard and on to the headstock. Also on the headstock, they should come up straight for the first inch or so above the nut and then turn to follow the line of tuners.
All pain and troubles melted away like lemon drops beyond the contrails across the sky.

They've been out for a while, some of us here have them.stonevibe wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 9:05 amAlso new Junior Collection Jazzmasters with smaller bodies and 24" scale lengths

This mint condition gem from the new Golden Age of Fender Japan in the ultra-rare Ice Blue Metallic stands head and shoulders above the guitars sold in North America. Unavailable to American buyers for fear of cannibalizing sales of the American Vintage II series, we are thrilled to offer these for the buyer who simply wants the best guitar Fender has ever made. Only a limited number available, grab yours before the production run ends and they start to be treated like the collectibles they are.jonathanrichman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 25, 2023 11:56 amThe countdown to Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar importing and selling them for 3k+ begins!![]()

Too bad they corrected the headstocks on the AVIIs or else you could add a paragraph about that and add an extra $200 to the total.Embenny wrote: ↑Sat Mar 25, 2023 5:12 pm

I agree with this. I think this style of stripe works better without a pickguard getting in the way; continuing onto the pickguard would be good, but having it rear routed with no pickguard at all would be even better.

Both the IBM guitars are amazing, if I wasn't trying to buy a house the Jag would be mine

Today I received a quote for shipping to Europe incl. shipping and paypal‘s buyer's protection and it‘s reasonable - a little over 1.1k € (not yet including import taxes and customs). Money has been tight for the last two months… so I‘ll have to save up a bit for it but it‘s very likely going to happen!

€1500 isn’t a bad price, similar to what any other mij JM will set you back. And with the new, improved electrics/pickups, should be good to go out of the box.MayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 12:19 amToday I received a quote for shipping to Europe incl. shipping and paypal‘s buyer's protection and it‘s reasonable - a little over 1.1k € (not yet including import taxes and customs). Did you think about omitting the 10% Japanese sales tax from the price?
(btw, I'm in the same bed as yours, can you send me a PM with the rundown of costs? As I'm also in the EU and on the fence about that late '60 Jazzmaster)
