Wow, that looks great!
I'm going to use one of those GFS surface mount trems on mine. I've got an AVRI pickguard (which I don't much like - eventually I'd like to get one that's more maroon than brown) and all the Jag plates mount onto it very easily. Next step is getting rid of those metal things in the bridge holes. I'll probably fill them in with wood filler, then redrill.
I do have a Strat jack - I'll probably just put it in to cover the hole but use the regular Jaguar jack arrangement.

Re: Squier VM JazzMaster Mod
Hey.... i bought a Squier VM jazz hardtail when they first came out because i had always loved the feel of offset guitars..... budget meant i had always bought instruments that were also ran rather than pedigree...... Recently i bought a Squier J MAscis Jazz and i have to to say it is awesome!!!!!! When I took it apart, i was astonished by its build quality... especially the electronics.... Well I aspired to something better before i really appreciated the mascis.... so i bid on and bought a squier jazz (trad layout) for 200 pounds. I then bought a fully loaded pickguard (Classic player Mex spec.) and swapped out the squier electrics for the new loaded pickguard... the 4 ply was a nice touch and the electrics were a definite step up. Grounding quality was an issue, but i quickly realised that the squier jazzmaster neck was inferior to both the Mascis and my original butterscotch hardtail.... so today i transplanted the hardtail maple neck into the squier jazz body with the classic player loaded pickguard......... and 3 guitars become one.... it looks great (to me) and is a beast to play... glassy maple neck adds a little tele twang to everything .http://s23.postimg.org/eorn4xy6v/image. ... 1432161109" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
