that's more than a fine price for a bandmaster of the era. They're still the cheapest of that era fender, more or less. (the heads go for $650 in stores here). Also neat that it has the small cab.
I spent years trying to get a good reverb going with mine but it is an outstanding amp (I think mine is a '66 or so). Takes pedals very, very well.
Do get it looked over by a trusted tech, with proper servicing it will last longer than *any* of us. (heck, it's 40+ years old now!!!).

There is a head at my local shop for $450 on consignment. I'm thinking about grabbing it after reading this post, BUT...

I almost snagged one on ebay, but I went to a shop and found my bassman 70 and got it instead.

Also, the bandmaster really likes the vanamps reverbamate, if you're missing having reverb.
