So I've been going back and forth over the nasty ass tort on my AVRI for years. It must be changed! I was trying to decide between Gold, mint, and black. I finally dismissed gold because of the wear issue (I know that's what lots of folks love about them) and the fact that the chrome on the guitar just bugs me with the gold.
Black? First of all too seventies! And too SRV! The second doesn't really bother me as long as I avoid the hat and the "music note" strap, but the first kinda does, but it isn't a deal killer. Black is still a strong contender.
Mint? Not really a downside other than the guard on a JM is very big. Lotsa mint might be overwhelming.
Now I have spent probably too long in the dressing room trying every combination, but as awesome a resource as the dressing room is, the real thing, sitting against someone's couch, or leaned up against an amp, can often give you a different take on a combination.
Anyone got pics of TSBs with mint or black?
