Re: Sano?

This is what it looks like. I bought it 4-5yrs. ago at Parkway Music in upstate NY for$200, it was in a corner collecting dust. Boy is it LOUD!

Re: Sano?
They're one of those companies that made and sold amps regionally in the NY/NJ/CT area etc. Some of them find their way other places. Not too common, but I wouldn't say "rare." "Rare" to me implies that there is demand, and the supply is insufficient to meet the demand. I think "Uncommon" might be more accurate. They're so uncommon that nobody is going around looking for Sano amps. If someone notable made a big point of playing one, that might change, but that's unlikely to happen either.
A similar maker was Hilgen. There were strong Ampeg ties, and there may be strong Ampeg ties to Sano, as well. Never owned a Sano so I can't say.
I'd guess it probably has a pair of 7591 output tubes? I don't know how those little companies were tied to Ampeg but they were somehow, used a lot of their circuits at the very least.
