Hi All,
I have this old VOX (Made In Italy) Bass. It's a violin shaped bass, looks a bit like a "Beatles" bass. Has a rather nice "target burst" alike finish.
Anyway at the neck plate is the following numeral code "245429" Would that help finding the actual production year? I guess It's 60ties, but I would like to know more precisely.
Thanks!
Anyone familiar with vintage VOX guitar date codes?

Email Jack at Phantom Guitar Works. He has dozens of old Vox guitars, and may know.

Thanks Jet-Set! I contacted Jack and he got in touch with me very quickly. He could not precisely date the instrument, but he did find out it is most likeley pre-1967. Aparently Italian made Vox instruments are almost impossilbe to correctly date, due the ever changing production and instrument parts.
