The OSG Projects Calendar 2008 (or maybe 2009) - (in production)....
I dropped a random comment about how my guitar will be on the March page of the 2008 calendar, then FuzzKing mentioned that it'd be kinda cool aswell.
The more I think about it I think its a pretty good idea.
So, this gives me something fun to do while work is quiet. Plus it'll keep me ontop of my InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop skills.
I'm gonna make a mock-up of a page over the next day or two. Nothing fancy. Just a practical calendar with good eye-candy.
I'd love to use good images, the bigger the better, of restorations done within this site.
This is the list of guitars I'm looking at:
1. Jaguar
2. Jazzmaster
3. Mustang
4. VI
5. XII
6. V
7. Jazz Bass
8. Maverick
9. Swinger
10. Marauder
11. Mustang Bass
12. Starcaster
Unfortunately nobody has a Marauder so I'll use the best image I can find. Also I might be cheeky & throw in my favourite Jaguar (thats also from outside this forum)
Here are the pictures I'm thinking of using so far, scaled down for now.
Ideally I need one picture of each from the list above. Its gonna be hell though, especially for the JM's. There's too many beauties on this site.
I'll probably turn a worse case scenario into a best case scenario & make one exclusively for JM's.
Start posting pictures or suggestions as to who's got a guitar worthy of the calendar. I'll have the last say for once! Mwwaahahahahahaaaa!!
EDIT - Ooops. This thread could do with being moved to the Projects / Restorations section.

Man new shit comes to light (but maybe it's a brainfart...) - we could make a screensaver and such gimmicks...

Brilliant idea.
None of my Mustangs were projects or restorations. I wouldn't want to occupy a limited spot in the Projects/Restorations calendar when I haven't done any rescuing or restoring and others have. Of course, I'm honored and you're welcome to the image .. just sayin'.

That photo you took of your Mustangs on their cases has to go in somewhere. Its one of the best pictures I've seen.
I dunno, maybe this needs to change to simply OffsetGuitars 2008 Calendar.

Thanks.
We've got enough beautiful guitars around for a damn coffee table book. How about a secular Mayan calendar? We can have 18 months of 20 days apiece.

If you know the links then stick them in this thread. Or post fresh pictures. I had a hunt around the sight but many snaps have eluded me.eupat wrote:the older brother wrote: eupats Jazzblaster!

I'm gonna be away from the computer for a few hours now so hopefully there'll be a few new additions to consider when I'm back.
Remember there's always the 2009 & 2010 editions, maybe even seperate European, American & Australasian ones (have we any members in Asian??) so don't be shy!!

For Mustang restorations, I'm partial to Jazzprod's '66 Mustang bass. Also, the job that FenderBob (I think) had done fixing the routes in his Comp Orange Mustang comes to mind but I can't find the thread.
edit: Ah. Angel221's Mustang. Not quite finished yet maybe.

heh, use koyl's messblaster and you could make a day calendar!
or with enough member support, it could be an OSG weekly calendar...
i'll try to get a mustang project complete for next year's calendar.
