Re: Firemist 65 Owners club
Great thread Mekhem, these are great guitars. I had no idea that there were so few of them in the world.
One of those "RIP" ones at the bottom of your list has been reassembled in stock form and lives on happily at my place in Australia. It feels like a feather (about 7.7 pounds) compared with my Custom Shop jazzmaster with an ash body (a porker weighing in at about 9.1 pounds, but also a fantastic guitar).
Congratulations Blake. Let us know what you think when yours arrives next Monday.

Re: Firemist 65 Owners club
Ok. Just got mine finally. Been waiting all day. Of course UPS arrives at 7pm when you want something real bad.
OMG. THIS WAS NOT USED AT ALL. THIS IS NOS ALL THE WAY!
it's brand new. Plastic on the guard. Trem bar and candy still in the plastic. Unreal. Cleanest guitar I've ever owned. Pretty sure I've never had a brand new guitar (besides a custom BILT I ordered).
Set up perfectly out of the case. I will not be putting an after market bridge on this. It plays amazing. Don't even want to break the trem bar out of the plastic bag yet. It's too new
Seriously beautiful. 7.8lbs. Not a scratch or mark on it. Pics to come. Amazing guitar for the money.
And I noticed these have CORRECT witch hat knobs on them. Not those cheesey push on knobs they put on the first run of AV65 jazzmasters they put out. Well done Fender!

Also: 'Homeless Blueless' is one of my favourite songs EVER, it's great to see another BBK fan around the place

That's what they call Firemist Silver, apparently. (The used ones were listed that way also.)

Re: Firemist 65 Owners club
They might not have another one; I ordered over the phone and they may just not have updated the web site yet. But you can try; nobody expected them to have more than one of the "used" ones either.justin81 wrote:Hmmmm. Time to have a chat with the wifey!!
They must be wondering what the heck's going on with all this Firemist interest all of a sudden...

Check out those Ikebe links I posted. The yen is really weak now so the prices aren't too unreasonable. Less than the regular US price of a new one.
