Ok, Older Brother and i agree: 2 3/8" for a XII heel.

I spoke to Ken Warmoth yesterday and we agreed his 12 neck would not fit. he recommended Subway Guitars in SF.

Oh, wouldn't a 12 with a JM vibrato be cool? I don't mean the 6 on 6 off idea I had, I mean all 12 strings on a JM vibrato. Has this ever been done before?

That's what I'm planning to do on my XII build, all I need is a body to put it on. I haven't heard of it being done before. There may be a very good reason :D

I would think 12 strings would have way to much pull for a trem. I wonder if you could get it up to pitch and in tune?

All just a matter of spring tension. That would call for some experimentation (or some mathematics)

Well, there is always the Bass VI trem. That seems to deal with the tension well.

did you talk to any of the builders on OSG? like stereordinary? i wonder if anyone could build a decent neck to vintage specs? i don;t see why not. and would probably be cheaper than a vintage neck but more expensive than a warmoth obviously. like what maybe the $450-500 range?

i have a few pokers in the fire. i was always optimistic that i could get a repro neck for it (if i threw enough $ at it)

anyone have any spare saddles? ;) otherwise, i'm going to grind down some Tusq tele saddles!

i would talk to mike (offyourface) or jay. i think they both have what you are looking for since you have a base plate. they have tele xii custom shop bridges like the one i sold to nickabulous for his build.

dunno if they want to let them go though. might already be involved in a project of their own.
