Instead of the tele-sonic proposed above, could KOYL be referring to to currently-in-production Gretsch Special Jet?  Here is a link (I need to learn how to embed photos  :-[)

I don't think so. Fender owns Gretsch. It'd be like Coke suing Coke Zero.

Not to mention that that basic body shape has been around almost as long as the Telecaster.  And Fender either never trademarked or let the trademarks on their body designs lapse, which is why there are a million strat and tele shaped guitars in the world.
