It's still listed on Fender's website. I'm hoping that these remain in production for a long time.

I just searched and it showed upegosheep wrote:Just noticed that the JMJ is not on Musicians Friend anymore.
This old link still works:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ ... ric-guitar
But it's not showing up in searches.
Out of production already??

I'd be surprised if this did go out of production - at least not for a few years. It's easily the nicest modern US made Jaguar available.

It's also no longer listed under Fender signature guitars for sale at MF:

odd.

Eh? Searched for Johnny Marr Jaguar on MF and it comes up.
Also comes up when I click on the link you posted.
Have you got the "Ship To:" field filled in as something other than the US? It won't come up if you're trying to ship abroad.

This is probably because they are out of stock and are not going to stock them anymore. I ran into this problem on something else I was searching for recently.egosheep wrote:These searches bring up nothing.HP Hovercraft wrote:I just searched and it showed upegosheep wrote:Just noticed that the JMJ is not on Musicians Friend anymore.

Noticed this the other day when I had my location set to the UK.
Glad it was a false alarm as I want to pick one of these up at some point.

Getting ready to pull the trigger. Going to go with Zzounds because of their payment plan. Any advice on getting them to deal? I have so far got them to commit to $1550 but they won't match a supposed %15 off from Musicians Friend unless I have it in writing. I'm thinking of waiting a week or so, maybe a July 4th deal will emerge?

Anyone bought one in the last month? I'm looking for a low price that I can use for negotiating with Zzounds. MF won't actually send proof of a price because they know I'm just fishing.

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
On a completely unrelated note an old college friend of mine dropped over last night to shoot the breeze, drink a few beers and play some guitars. He's a Johnny Marr fan, but is a ES335 guy so doesn't really have a huge amount of love for offsets.
He hadn't been at mine for a while, so he automatically gravitated towards the cases he didn't recognise and pulled out the 65 AV Jazzmaster and the Marrguar (as well as the ES345, which he knew I picked up last year and was dying to try out ... being right up his street in terms of guitars). His opinion of the 65 AV was very positive (loved the neck and the frets, and also the sound of the neck pickup) ... but he was blown away by the Marrguar.
This guy had played my old CIJ Jaguar years ago and didn't really have much love for it. But he couldn't put the Marr down. His opinion (as a non-offset groupie) - great neck and playing feel, really honky neck pickup and beautiful middle position, surprisingly versatile with the series setting and "possibly the biggest surprise I've had in picking up a guitar with no expectations good or bad".

Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
I ended up going used from Musician's Friend when they had 10% off used gear but if I'd bought new I would've done Sweetwater. Just send a message or call and ask what their best July 4th price is. The best I found was a hair under 15% off.egosheep wrote:Anyone bought one in the last month? I'm looking for a low price that I can use for negotiating with Zzounds. Re: Johnny Marr Sig Jaguar
Just received my new JMJ this morning in KO. Everything is great, except for one issue: the staytrem is not keeping the trek in place like it should. If I take the trem off, is there a way I can tighten or adjust the bushing?
