(not to distract) I am new....this is my first post outside of intro.....

This project's a great idea!

johnqui, I think you've made a great choice...the black, mint guard, and maple board is a great contrasting trio....Black is worth waiting for, and goes great on anybody. ;)

Can't wait to see this develop!

Nice !
I didn't know this shop: good prices and no UPS shipment, bridge holes already done... Ilike that !
Tell us about the accuracy and compatibility of the body when you have it..

Me neither  :(

Maybe I should call off my order to Dguitaparts on the allpartsbody - haven't received the PayPal invoice yet  :-\
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

I think I'll stick to dguitarparts - I've ordered some more and I was planning on buying necks from them in the future - so I would not like to get into some arguing with them (ending with me adding them in Ebay Hall of Shame  ;) ) Anyway - It will be exciting doing the bridge hole drilling myself.

Enough with this hijacking - I'll post my problems in my own thread onwards  :D

Hi !

some news on the projects, I've ordered a lot of things, and all should be here pretty quickly except for the body. Here it is:
- The body (Guitar Mill)
- Tele Deluxe neck (eBay)
- Vintage RI F tuners (eBay)
- Whitch hats from doug
- Roller knobs (eBay)

From acme:
- Wide Range pickups
- JM wiring kit (didn't want to spend too much on collecting those)
- Mint guard
- Neck Plate

And I'm waiting to be certified with paypal to place an order from GPR with:
- JM Aged pup cover set (to make humbuckers ring)
- USA JM bracket
- Mustang bridge
- USA tremolo
- pickguard shield
- copper shielding tape
- strap button

So here is the question, before I place the order, is there something i forgot ???  ::)

Thanks

adapters for turning plit shafts to solid shaft (for the set screw witch hats) - GPR have those - that fit CTS pots (they're too big for japanese split shafts).
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Why don't you make some out of aluminium foil from candle (chauff-plats).
I ordered those for my OTM JM and I never managed to make fit one of the 2 in the pot because it was a tiny tiny bit too small... so I don't know if it worth taking the risk for something you don't even see.
And the aluminium foil works even better because the witch hats screw really grip in it.

great idea !
I'll order the GPR ones because it's just 1 dollar, it's nothing compared to the order I'm gonna place. If it doesn't fit, I'll make one with the candles!
