So anyway, my son just...
...took a piss on my amp.
In his defence he is only two, and luckily it's a Vox Valvetronix with the metal grille that seemed to catch most of it. Just thought I'd share that with you.
Anyone else had similar or worse amp misfortunes?

Re: So anyway, my son just...
when I was 2 I preferred taking a piss on moving objects, like my dad for example.
it's more challenging and much more rewarding.
tell him that.

Oh man, that sucks! Though I can't help LMAO
. Sorry.
I have a mice infestation in my apartment. Recently, I took my amp on the road for the first time in many years (I normally play gigs over whatever backline the house supplies or whatever the headlining act brings, if they want to share, that is). I then noticed the mice had been using it as a hang-out! It's full of mouse shit (yay for open-backed cabinets!) and presumably piss (haven't done the UV test yet
). I was a bit afraid they'd ripped the JBL D130-F to gather nest material, but luckily they've left it intact.
Need to buy some steel wool to plug those damn holes in my wall.... And a cat.

Re: So anyway, my son just...
Eddie Money once dumped their tour bus toilet out right next to where we'd piled our gear after performing and prior to moving the van in order to load it up. It came within inches of getting on my 4x12 but luckily that was as close as it got to any of the gear. I still fucking hate Eddie Money tho... not that I was a "big fan" prior of course.

I dropped an open (nearly full) bottle of beer in the open back of my bandmate's Koch Multitone.
He's was sure pissed about that!
Didn't hurt the amp luckily...

Yep... Dave dumped shit on tourists. Really though, it's the responsibility of the bus driver. Story here

Re: So anyway, my son just...
before i was interested in playing guitar, my dad let a friend's kid borrow his strat and it was poorly treated and ended up getting a can of cream soda spilt all over it. my dad said he had to take it all apart and clean every little bit to get the stickyness off. then a few years later he ended up giving it to me as my first guitar. a good ol' 86 MIJ squier!

It's no worse than the shit he dumps on audiences worldwide. Only he calls it music.Jay wrote: Yep... Dave dumped shit on tourists. Really though, it's the responsibility of the bus driver. Story here

I think that's great that his tour bus dumped shit on people!

Re: So anyway, my son just...
Wait until he's sixteen, and does it on purpose, not because he doesn't know any better!
Trust me, I know with a 16 year old at home and a 13 year old in training. I used to think people were cruel to send their teenagers away for school...now I'm having second thoughts. I think it might be good for all involved - me, mom, and the teenager!
You do know your son was making a statement, right? (Hey dad, stop paying so much attention to the guitars and amps and pay some to me!)
