This was my first project (10 years ago)
bought the body with the neck for 7€
cut a crappy pickguard with a single in the neck and a JB HB in the bridge
what a piece of shit

I've got one of those Harmony Bobcats and I LOVE it. It sounds fantastic- those pickups are like bars of silver magic.

It's far away from being the worst guitar I've ever owned.

That dishonor goes to a 1970-something poo brown

hardtail

maple-board Stratocaster.

It weighed somewhere around 13 lbs.

, had two E-strings that refused to stay anywhere near the fretboard

and pickups that sounded so bad I actually began to understand why people bought EMGs.

Of course, if I'd kept it I could probably trade it even up for a '62 Jaguar or 3/4 of an old Jazzmaster....

I don't really have a candidate for "worst" guitar, but the one that was the biggest disappointment was a "rare" tenor resonator that turned out to be not a resonator at all. It was misrepresented on an eBay auction, but worded in such a way that I didn't have a case against the guy. It was a fun guitar, but I really lost my ass on it when I sold it!

Ive never run into one ive liked.. and ive owned at least 2.. maybe 3.. though to each their own

The worst guitar i ever owned was my first one as well.
It was a Cameo thin hollowbody with a bigsby. Someone pulled the tremolo up so far it pulled the neck up and cracked the soundboard. It was reparied by a plumber or something, and played lousy, had terrible action and the whole thng sucked.
I did get a Standel amplifier with it - solid state with a 15 inch speaker that wasnt too bad - actually it sounds pretty good now.
I disassembled the guitar a while back, saved the neck - which want too bad and the body is in my celar on the floor somewhere. I still have the pickups too.
I dont know why people like these cheapo guitars today - perhaps they can play better now and they can make them sound pretty good.

You know what? If my Mum hadn't bought me it for my 18th birthday (quite some time ago now!) you could. Actually, if she hadn't bought me it I would have smashed it by now I am sure, such is the level of frustration it often serves up for me live. I had a Jagmaster that met a similar fate sadly and that was awful too.
