Yeah, it sounds great!  The naysayers will tell you how horrible it is (compared to the boutique 18W clones) but I think it sounds pretty decent...far better than the other amps they had at GC at the time   I have heard some rumours of a bad batch of transformers on them though that you might look into before buying one.

Great amps.  Be sure to try the 20 Watt head too.  They're a little more versatile.

I had one, it wasn't loud enuff for me. it sounded great but my drummer at the time drowned it. when you bridge the chanels it sounds realy nice.

The Transformer issue keeps coming up on reviews.. But if its been taken care of, no prob..
id prolly buy a used one from a shop anyways, and most of the ones here fix crap like that

I own a Trinity SIII that I built from a kit.  Essentially the same thing but modified to have a plexi style pre-amp so it's a touch cleaner.  Killer circuit though...  great for in amp distortion tones.

I would look into a ceriatone.  They're bound to be a lot cheaper then a used Marshall and probably a bit better built.  You can buy in kit form or entirely complete through him.  You'd just have to find a cabinet but weber or many other builders make those too in just about every color combination possible.
