Hi! I've just made my order through musikraft,
I ordered a neck with flame maple and pau ferro fretboard(10" radius)
'59 profile, and 7100 stainless steel frets, with heavy rolled fingerboard
edges, on vintage tint satin nitro.
I also ordered a 2 piece swamp ash body on black nitro.
I hope everything to go as I wish.

Not in Europe but this seller is very serious, his shipping costs are very reasonnable and you'll have them in about a week:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... SS:FR:1123
Once you're lost in twilights's blue, you don't find your way. The way finds you...

Happy New Year to everyone!!!
I'm very excited 'cause I'm back from my vacations
and almost all the parts are here, except from the neck and the body.
Hopefully by the end of the months I'll have the neck and the body,
I can't wait!!!!!!

Hi! May ask something?
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a roller pot
mounting bracket, except angelas?
And would you do the shielding by yourself
or buy some already made parts?

Parts is parts They have OK shipping quotes too (at least last time I ordered).

For a "accurate" JM/Jag I'd take the real (already made) stuff. GPR got it. The rythm cavity shield is NOT for a Jag though (as they say) only for Jazzys - so you need one of 005-4438-000 two of 005-4439-000 and the tub - 005-4441-000.
For a "Frankenstein" I'd take copper foil tape.

BTW GPR got the bracket too, but if you order for over $100 it costs a fortune in shipping from them...just so you know.
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

Thanks man for your answer,
will I notice any differences between the "accurate" and
the "Frankenstein" way, soundwise?

No idea. I have HB's in my "frank" (Jazzmaster deluxe) and haven't shielded it at all (only the alu shield under the pickguard) - hums less than any of my JM's anyway....

Does anyone knows the differences?
Are the antiquities almost noiseless
as a friend told me?

I've  just orded all the remaining parts from guitarpartsresourse the pickguard shielding from their ebay store,
and all the rest from their regular store, so my order was under 100 bucks and the shipping was just $9.

Hi Pulse,
You don't have to shield the guard- it is a great shield on its own. you might want to ground it though, most people do. you sand off some of the gold anodized finish on the underside of the guard near the bridge post hole. put a grounded wire there so that the wire touches the bare aluminum.
for the other issues, just use copper tape everywhere on the cavities. and ground the tape. (you can Literally solder a ground wire to the tape!)
