What a cool story, thanks for sharing- nice guitar anyway, but all those memories now embodied in it make it so much more than just a guitar.

Great read! Fun to watch a guitar grow and mature with its owner. Thanks for posting.

You bet!
Might take a little time, but I'll definitely post a little story, even though I haven't had her long. There was definitely a story of guitars that got me there....

Re: My '59 Jazzmaster - Complete after...er...25 years!
a ha! you *know* i have always wanted the details on this! love your neck plate. I'M SO JEALOUS you found TWO 11-HOLE GUARDS! i've been lookign for one for years and years. my '59 got the black on black treatment way back when, too! ours must be damn close in age.
i've come to ignore the two extra holes on the lovely 13-hole vintage tort i got for it from JazzBlaster. it looks great, but those two holes where no screw can go, due to the older-style route.
now that i see a foto of the one you sold to Fuzzking - i'm gonna hit him up about a trade. my tort is early 60's and would work great for his '62, and i've NEVER EVEN SEEN an 11-hole guard that mine has been waiting for!
HEY FUZZKING!!! i hope your not in love with that guard

I seem to remember interest in my 11-holer from another forumite ages ago but I forgot who. I bet it was you!46346 wrote:a ha! you *know* i have always wanted the details on this! love your neck plate. I was thinking about this the other day, funnily enough. Michael might be your man, especially if you have a similar tort guard to offer in exchange. Let's face it, pretty much all pre-CBS guards look amazing.
