For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

Well if you tried the eastwood and like it more than the JM, why not?
I think the re-issues will stay readily available for quite a while...

How are the Eastwoods anyway? The most of the models are quite cool looking, but they're cheap guitars...hows playability and sound?
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

I'm gas-ing for a Greenburst Mosrite copy of them. They just look awesome - on pictures.

I'd recommend you play that guitar and, if you like it better, do it.

Taranaki Guitars?
I think you can send it back if you don't like it.

I think it's something like a law, that onlineshops have to give you at least 2 weeks in which you can send it back.

I just gave my answer in the other Eastwood related thread. Playability excellent, in my opinion. Modern, not vintage, in terms of feel. The electronics tend to be rubbish, but if you like to tinker that's not a problem.

My experience with Eastwod was the opposite.  They just felt cheap to me.  I'd still agree that you should play the other guitar first, but don't lose your MIJ over something gimmiky.

i'd personally keep the JM, i agree with stereo.  eastwood guitars just seem sorta cheap, but if its what you really want go for it, you shouldn't take advice from me  ;D

Good decision.
What about some pictures of your Jazz? Don't think we've seen it.
