Since you're here, I have a couple of unrelated questions. It is you who made this Univox pickup ring on Shapeways, right? I stumbled upon it yesterday; does the inside cutout fits a regular HB? And does the outside dimensions cover a P90 route? If so, I may place an order soon...CROSS_guitars wrote:Back to offset world now....

Yes. I helped design these for a felow OSG member. He gave me the measurents, So I can't confirm if the outer measurements cover a p90 rout. But the inner dimensions do infact fit a regular sized Humbucker.Gordon wrote:Since you're here, I have a couple of unrelated questions. Been meaning to ask this for ages - did you build the guitar for the guy from Exhaustion? Saw them a couple of years ago and couldnt stop looking at his guitar when they were playing. Kinda duosonic with jag control plate?

Yeah, I made that. I am working on building 2 more of those at the moment.
Here's some old pics of it before it was wired properly and before it was played to death.

That's really nice! It's a kind of "identikit" Fender.
A little bit Straty, a little bit Mustangy, a little bit Jaguary, a little bit Duo-Sonicy.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

God that is such a cool guitar. Been wanting to see pics of it for ages. There's a few pics on their facebook page but always a bit blurry and at a distance.
Excited that there's going to be more of them.
Is there going to be any changes on the new ones?

The new ones will have my own headstock design. the first one is pretty much the same as the original and the second will have a jag/jazz tremolo and JM pickup in the bridge position.

Here's a pic of them from a few months ago but I've done a lot of work on them since this pic was taken.
They are pretty much ready to go and get painted.

Cool as, especially excited to see what it looks like with a jazzmaster trem.
Judging by where the bridge holes are, these are gonna be 24", yeah?

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Using Shapeways' pic as a reference, accounting for some margin, it should cover the P90 route easily. Also, it's rather cheap, so it's worth a try (need to check the shipping costs to Singapore though). Don't know what your markup is on this, but yeah, money!CROSS_guitars wrote:Yes. Today's work.
Full-scale Mustang, with Jazzmaster additions.
Almost done. It will have contours. Needs plenty of sanding.
