You're right, I see it now. I thought that piece of tape on the bottom of the bridge was a piece of it. It does look a little odd without the binding but I still like it, I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for these in shops.cbrown wrote:The bridge is the same on both, just chrome on the Antigua and black on black. Apart from everything being black, the biggest difference I see is no binding on the fretboard.

FWIW. Today I received a Bullet Mustang in black. It's 24" scale, not the 24.75" that's been published everywhere. It's the same scale as the new Fender Duo-Sonic. The pickups are much better than I expected them to be. I may not even replace them, but it's still early.

so weird that they advertise them as 24.75 because honestly that's one of the main things that put me off themPat-2,455,575 wrote:FWIW. Today I received a Bullet Mustang in black. Same here. I am really glad it is 24". Another difference is the nut width is closer to 41mm and not the 42mm in the specs. I do like the guitar a lot though. Super light and comfortable to play. Mine is 2.9kg.dylanafghjkl wrote:so weird that they advertise them as 24.75 because honestly that's one of the main things that put me off themPat-2,455,575 wrote:FWIW. I'll be installing a set of white button Klusons this weekend.

Are you going to replace the tuning machines?

Re: NEW Squier Offsets 2017
I thought it looked like the standard 24" scale, but it's kind of hard to tell from a photo. How can Fender/Squier not know the scale of their own guitar?Pat-2,455,575 wrote:FWIW. i dont need the bullet mustang, but I want it so bad. I may have to sell some unused gear to make it happen, just so the wife doesn't mind.

They need to correct the specs. I'm sure they'll have more interest.jagstang wrote:Even fender writes on its website it's 24,75"...
I had it in my head that it was 24" and I didn't notice the website's longer spec until after I had placed my order so I was prepared to send it back if necessary.
I've already ordered another one for a family member.

I'm really considering buying a Squier Mustang Bullet as a modding platform. I've been wanting a Squier VM Mustang, but for 1/3 of the price, and with humbuckers... it's really a bargain.
- Do you guys know if it's going to be hard to find new pickguards and pickup covers?
- Is it going to be that-different in quality to a Squier VM Mustang? I can just buy it online, so I can't try it before, but I haven't read anything bad about it yet.

it does have modder fodder written all over it. Perfect specimen to attempt my Adrian Belew tribute. i don't know how I'll feel about sinking more cash in the parts than the guitar, but I'd spend the same money on it regardless of the husk.
pretty sure pickguardian will have the hookup on the pickguard.
