"Vintage White"
I'm sorry if this question seems obvious however I'm searching for answers regarding the actual colour of Fender Japan "Vintage White". I am thinking about purchasing a CIJ Jaguar from Ishibashi in this colour. I understand that the Fender Japan "Vintage White" is quite different from the official Fender USA colour chart, which shows "Vintage White" as much more yellow in colour. The pics I have seen via the internet are confusing due to the differences in lighting in the pics. Is the Fender Japan "Vintage White" appear as a creamier Olympic White in reality? Does anyone here own a CIJ or MIJ "Vintage White" Jazz or Jag? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: "Vintage White"
it's basically slightly aged looking white.. not yellowed but a creamy white

Thanks daydreamdelay; that is what I was hoping. I just recently sold a CIJ Sunburst Jag and was looking forward to purchasing a new one in that colour, despite Ishibashi's price increase. Regards.daydreamdelay wrote: it's basically slightly aged looking white.. not yellowed but a creamy white

Re: "Vintage White"
I had one - looked like french vanilla ice cream - a little too beige for my taste. Great neck though, with blocks and binding.

Too bad that Ishibashi only offers dots w/out binding. For some reason I've always found that white/ off-white guitars look better with blocks over any other colour.jetset wrote: I had one - looked like french vanilla ice cream - a little too beige for my taste. Edited for grammar; yeah, I'm like that.

Re: "Vintage White"
I've an '05 CIJ Jag in Vintage White. I'll try and post some pics later today if you like. One thing about the newer CIJs is that the necks are considerably better than the older ones. I've a buddy with a '96 and there's just no comparasion: his feels like a short-scale Mustang or something whereas mine feels a lot more 'grown-up' if you know what I mean.
Anyway, will try to post pics tonight.
Regards,
Tommy.

No worries man. I just noticed that there's a video of my band up on YouTube that's got me playing my jag if you want to see it before I can get some pics up.

Mine looks a lot more 'aged' and 'creamy' than that one. Well, maybe not a lot... but it's noticable. Not had access to my camera yet i'm afraid...

Re: "Vintage White"
they very well could have changed the paint as they went.. I also may have used a flash in this pic as it does look a bit more stark white in the pics than I remember, it was definitely closer to that than cream/beige though.

Re: "Vintage White"
Hmm... i'd certainly say that the contrast between the plastics and the body is a lot more stark on my Jag. Are your pup covers as white as that?

How much is a JM like that... white w/ matching headstock and blocks/binding?
