Man, that 12-string is cool!
Thankyou - it's a really nice guitar to play as well. The Novak pickups sound very good with it, just the right balance of thickness and sparkle.
Pixmix - I'm also thinking of putting JM pickups in a tele, and you've inspired me to push that project up my priority list! As for mini humbuckers, they are well known to sound great in tele, but i think Firebird neck pickups sound even better. I have one guitar like this, and its the best tele neck sound ever.
Cheers!

I owned a an early Squier Strat as a backup to my JM, and still have a custom one. But I can't feel attached to them. THis is the other Fender that connects with me. Such a brilliant contrast with the JM, if the JM is a sniper's rifle, this is a Sten Gun.

This "birth year" MIJ Tele is currently haunting my dreams. I've never seen a painted neck and headstock like this...and the black-and-gold scheme has such a "black beauty Les Paul" feel to it!
I'm not usually a Tele guy but...damn.

This is my current tele and tele-ish situation: 2012 52 AVRI, Tripple Tele, and a Bastardcaster. The 52 AVRI just got a refret and it has turned my interests to teles again. Gasing really bad for a tele with a mini humbucker on the neck, like those 52 Hot Rods.
How does the triple tele play? I’ve always been curious since I had seen a picture of Gram Parsons playing a tele with three bridge pickups.

It's a really nice guitar. It has strat style 5 position switch, but I like the 1,3 and 5 positions much better, and it's least strat like that way. Nocaster pickups run a bit hotter than the Pure Vintage ones, but they are nice and crisp but not thin. Middle and neck have a unique voicing, though I like the middle alone the best. The only slight down side is no noise canceling in any position (no rwrp on the middle pickup). No big deal for clean and low ovrerdrive, but with heavier pedals it gets a bit noisy. Might try a noiseless pickup on the neck one of these days, perhaps Area T.

Rest in peace, black 2004 American Series Tele
I sold the body and bridge on the board the other day. That'll spare Rexter the time and pain of having to strip the poly finish and re-drilling/filling the string and screw holes. Instead, he'll be routing and painting a new body in taos turquoise for me. Besides changing the bridge to a vintage-style one, I'll put a Lollar P90 in the neck. I'm keeping the Novak bridge pickup; it's amazing. I just find Tele neck pickups a little too dull for guitars. My old Novak one has now found a new home in my Bass VI, where it's much happier.

My two - The weirdo, and a '94 MiM 'Squier Series' :
I actually really like the pickups on the Squier Series- Kind of bugged it's not string-through though. The neck is excellent as well.
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

Down to 3, and
Am I crazy? Or is that the best way ever to count to 3 tele's? (by having 5)

CC PUPs in a Thinline are a big win! I did the neck on my MIJ.
What a gorgeous collection of guitars. I love the one with the Dynasonic, just absolutely love it.
