Help me identify this electric sitar

...no clue what it is - thought some of you might know.  Maybe it's some discontinued version of a rogue or Jerry Jones.

Any ideas?  The reason I ask is Seth Kauffman(the guy from the 1st picture) uses one.  Thought it sounded cool...was curious...

Ya, I have been considering going down the electric sitar path...I don't think I need the sympathetic strings though.  It doesn't help when you see someone using one to good effect while your considering if you will actually get some good use out of it. 

Love this guy's stuff - hope to catch him at a day show at SXSW this week.

The jerry jones baby sitar is not worth the money.  Trust me, ive played 3 different ones and none of them could sustain, stay in tune, and the bridge only buzzed on 4 strings.  Dont get me wrong, Jerry Jones guitars are amazing, and the other to electric sitars are great, but the Baby model is just wrong.

Yeah I decided Id just get the Gotoh buzz bridge and stick it in a $250 Dano guitar..

Less than 1/2 price of the baby sitar..

You cant go wrong with that.  Ive been working on a quality ivory bridge for about 3 weeks now, essentially its 6 individual saddles, with 4 small set screws each on a strat style chassis.

i've got no input on the sitar, but i did rig up the mute on my Jag as a buzz bridge to get sitar like sounds. i have it in an open tuning and can get some of the sympathetic strings action. on it's own the mute was worthless, but now i can raise and lower it for sitar sounds.

The bridge fits either of em (I think).. though I prefer the U2..

I've got one (that I'm not really using) that has the Gotoh bridge.  Pretty cool w/the lipsticks and all that, but it is not really practical to haul to a gig to play "Paint It Black" or "Listen to the Flower People"!!

Guess there's a reason that they have pedals to get that effect.
