i gotta say, my '85 MIJ 62 Ri with binding looks ok with 3-ply white, but it doesn't right... i dont' really want mint for it, though. probably go with 3-ply parchement ;)

That's the exact guitar I used to have before I sold it for my Jazzmaster. I had a 3ply black on it and I think it looked stellar.

The sunburst tele I just bought has a brown tort on it and it's sexy. I'm not a huge fan of the 'burst nor the tort; but in tandem they really work. Very classic.

i put a 3-ply black on mine for about ahlf a year, too. but it started feeling wrong to be, altought ti looked great. so i put the old white back on until i can gather enough cash together for a 3-ply parch i like, lol
