Agreed, I can't wait to see this body come together.

mbene085 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 9:59 amThat's some very tidy wiring. I love experimenting with wiring schemes, but admittedly mine end up looking more like science experiments than Rothstein guards.
I've never sanded/polished a switch tip but it never occurred to me, either. That looks great and I think I'll be giving that a try!
It still isn't Rothstein clean, but I've really been trying to do things a little better each time. Believe me, I've made more than a few rat nests.
It's a bit of OCD, but I think that mostly it makes me feel like progress is being made on the project.
Lucky for you, I don't have anything left to post until I start seeing pics of the body from the finish shop.
The dog hair makes a huuuge difference. All of my builds have a little dog hair.Nox_Vagari wrote: ↑Sun Jan 27, 2019 12:13 pmGreat work! Really like those witch hats and dog hairs too!

I'm 99% sure this is mine. We'll be seeing some color soon.

Sweet. I really like that upper horn switch. From a form-follows-function standpoint I find switch tips pretty dumb.

Whoo! Color!
It looks a little darker than I expected, but I'm sure that once the clear is on, it'll come alive.

I like that darker green metallic. With the clear coats, oh wow!

That dark forest green look is exactly what I've chosen for my next project - but I have a feeling that it will look more vibrant after the clear coat. It's a beautiful shade nonetheless. I keep opening this thread hoping to see the green - and finally it's happening! Exciting.

I do hope you're thinking of a white pearloid pickguard for it.

Me or mbene085?
I agree that white pearl would look great on dark metallic green, I already have my pickguard though.

I was thinking of yours. I didn't remember you had parchment already to go. That should look really good on it.ThePearDream wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:54 amMe or mbene085?

Yeah, too late for me. Maybe we can convince mbene085 though.Rgand wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 8:29 amI was thinking of yours. I didn't remember you had parchment already to go. That should look really good on it.ThePearDream wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:54 amMe or mbene085?

No convincing needed. I already ordered an aged white pearl pickguard - it's going to be a Sonichris Marauder II body, forest green metallic, vintage Coronado neck, aged pearl pickguard, black Wilde Microcoil pickups/black knobs/black Jag switches, Faction plates with JM trem.
Don't want to derail this thread though, this Jazzmaster is going to be glorious and I think parchment is the perfect color. Those original dark Sherwood AVRIs were what sparked my love of Offset aesthetics and this is gonna look just as great.

That should turn out really nice mbene085.
Now, to get this thread back on track:

That's much better.
