Re: The ARIA 1802t/1803t - EPIPHONE ET 270 DATABASE
Done
i have fill the ding with zpoxy and the finish was so thick that i could sanded the varnish ,dress the fretboard edge ,and repolish it
now there is no feel when you cross the ding ,they stay *for sure but don't made a bad sensation the when you play it
*it is his history in fact
rest to make the planification ,the fret end, and a nut
i am happy cause i have really scare to have to have to do a refinish
is someone know where to find the originals knobs for it ?
i think someone redo the pickups covers in shapeways

I just scored an ET270 sunburst body. No other parts. Not sure what it is, probably an aria.
Anyway, can someone send me a pickguard tracing?

I found a decent photo which I have traced.
I have pretty much got the shape to line up with the body.
I'm going to cut a template from this.

Don't know if anyone is following this but the body needed tort!
I don't think I've seen one of these with a tort pickguard before but it just seems to look perfect to me.
I cut this out today. Still deciding on pickup options. I have many humbuckers sitting around.
I like the old dings and scratches in the sunburst finish. I'm going to leave it as is.
Someone drilled three holes near the top forearm contour. Not sure why.

I traded the Univox Badazz I got from someone on here for an Aria 1802-T but some dickhead previous owner detached and then tried to reattach the neck with the holes unaligned, tried to force it, and caused some pretty serious cracks around the neck pocket. I tried putting it together just to see if they were surface-level and it just pulled the pieces apart by a few cm and confirmed that they’re pretty bad.
I have zero luthier skills and wanna play this thing so bad. Sucks!

After having piles of these things in non-working condition and then selling it all, I got this for £95 off EBay and it came with a really nice 70s G&G styled Fender case too. It's in really nice shape. Granada branded (Canadian market, even though this came from Manchester) and with the more Stat looking single coils that actually don't sound half bad.

I'm a bit obsessed with these guitars now.
I have sourced a neck for the body I bought! and it's the original neck!
From the same seller.

The neck arrived.
Not sure if I should sand off the back of the headstock or not.

I have had these amazing Schaller tuners tuners sitting around for years.
Finally found a good use for them.
They look the part.
And Gold foils!
Bridge pickup is an old Teisco type pickup.
Neck humbucker pickup is a pat no. 2737842 T top.
Hopefully going for a beefy neck sound combined with some jangly tele sounds in the bridge.

Hell yeah post pics when you install it!
Ran into a weird Univox XII at the pawn shop that’s setup just like one of these but with the weird square like body. The tremolo was weird as hell - with an addition to the outside of the unit for the octave strings. They’re asking $700 which is insane tho.

Re: The ARIA 1802t/1803t - EPIPHONE ET 270 DATABASE
I had the opportunity to play a Domino Olympic branded one of these the other day. The neck was really nice, but all of the original electronics are gone - I'm clueless as to how two separate lever switches would have functioned. Now I'm debating if I should buy it or not. I don't need it, but it's cool, just $200, and my birthday is coming up.

If the cracks are that opened up (cm or mm?) and you have access to a suitable clamp (can you post a pic of the damage?): Titebond III Ultimate Wood GlueMechanical Birds wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 7:59 pmI traded the Univox Badazz I got from someone on here for an Aria 1802-T but some dickhead previous owner detached and then tried to reattach the neck with the holes unaligned, tried to force it, and caused some pretty serious cracks around the neck pocket. I'm not sure I understand the science behind it, but once cured a properly done repair will be stronger than the original wood. I'd actually say try putting it together again to spread the cracks apart, pour the glue in (have the wet cloth ready to clean up the excess, it's pretty thin and will squeeze out everywhere quickly when clamping up), undo everything and apply clamp/s with just enough pressure to firmly hold the area together for 24 hours.
I am absolutely not a woodworker but I just used the same stuff to repair a couple of antique chairs with intricate 'middle bits' that had repeatedly been broken/'repaired' over the past 70-100 years to good effect.

Haven't screwed the plate completely down yet because I snapped a damn screw inside the body!
Should never use cheap shitty screws.!!
