Glad to spread the love!
My Vox AC4HW loves the Parabola. Same with the Milkman 1 Watt Plus.

My band is call Météore... And I really like the Météore Reverb pedal...
If I did not already have a Low-Fi Reverb (Solidgold Counter Current) I will have bought this. Not that I dont like my Counter Current, I actually use it on all my tracks, is just that playing a Métére song with a Metora into a Météore will be cool, if not to much.

Caroline Guitar Company has unveiled a brand-new pedal called the Megabyte Lofi Delay
I bought, in a total impulse buy, one of the limited-edition ones, right after reading the article and watching the vid.

I sold my Kilobyte as soon as they dropped the teaser in December and miss it something fierce. Resisting the early release has not been easy. The Somersault is pretty diverting though!Maggieo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 5:00 pmCaroline Guitar Company has unveiled a brand-new pedal called the Megabyte Lofi Delay

The Megabyte sounds good, but no delay has ever sounded as good to my ears as my Kilobyte. I'm tempted to buy a Megabyte for my bass board, but there's no way I'm getting rid of the Kilobyte on my guitar board.

I hear you. I'm counting on the Megabyte sounding as good as the Kilobyte. The tap tempo would be a pretty significant step up for use with my band.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:24 pmThe Megabyte sounds good, but no delay has ever sounded as good to my ears as my Kilobyte. Re: NPD: Caroline Guitar Company Météore Reverb And Parabola Trem
The tap tempo addition, and the divisions, is pretty cool, but I almost never use tap tempo. I use the feedback/havoc switch on my Kilobyte all the time though. I do want to try a Megabyte in any case.

I reckon, by the demo, that the Mega is right up there with the Kilo, and Philippe makes good stuff. I'm jazzed.Gavanti wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 6:20 amI hear you. Agreed! It's a tossup for me whether it's Caroline or Earthquaker that's my favorite pedal company. I've got a Kilobyte and a Parabola, and I would love to have another of his.

Yeah. Phillipe has a good ear and sense of design. I’ve had 6 CGC pedals, and the only one that didn’t stick was the Haymaker. It just always seems like there are more great sounds to be found in the CGC stuff. EQD pedals I like too, though I have tended to find other things I like more. The Night Wire has been a fun surprise though. I could probably live with the FM mode on the Parabola instead of the Night Wire’s harmonic trem or even the dynamic trem rate, but the control modes over the filter that expand the NW’s functionality with the trem depth turned down make it a sonic Swiss Army knife.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:12 pmAgreed! Re: NPD: Caroline Guitar Company Météore Reverb And Parabola Trem
I had an early (narrow enclosure) Shigeharu which I loved at first, but was lackluster for me pretty quickly. I think they absolutely shine with delays, reverbs, and other time-based stuff, and with form-factor and extra/unique functionality most of all. FM mode on the Parabola is positively dreamy. I had a Night Wire, but didn't love it. It was my first EQD that I didn't love, which was strange for me. I'm not a chorus guy, but I've been interested to try out a Somersault too...Gavanti wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 1:03 pmYeah. Phillipe has a good ear and sense of design. Re: NPD: Caroline Guitar Company Météore Reverb And Parabola Trem
Me neither, but I really like the Somersault. It gets a pretty classic 80s chorus sound—not quite as lush as some, but still really nice—and it's great for thickening up and giving character to distortion, but I'm finding a bunch of other interesting and, most importantly, useable tones in it as well.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:29 pmI'm not a chorus guy, but I've been interested to try out a Somersault too...
The attempted flipping action on the limited release Megabyte is something!

I haven’t seen anyone here mentioning it, but the Hawaiian Pizza was a big hit on gear page strictly fuzz thread last year.

They’re always looking for the next boutique fuzz, so most have moved on to the latest sparkly object. I think all my fuzz pedal scores are from those guys flipping pedals.

Ooh, that sounds great. I might have to check that out for sure now.Gavanti wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 6:31 amMe neither, but I really like the Somersault.
