ya, theres even websites with free 808s out there. pretty crazy what apps can do.

so far I have only tried syncing the two Arturias and had no problems with midi sync. I dont currently have a midi out of my DAW but I should try them with some non Arturia midi gear and see what happens I suppose

Your mention of the SR16 brought me back to the HR16 I used to have a million years ago. The crazy thing about drum machines is that for $10 or less you can turn just about any iPad into a drum machine that will keep up with just about anything out there. I had a Drum Brute for a bit before flipping it. Had issues getting it to synchronize over MIDI and got tired of the fight. Still have and use a Mini Brute synth and it won’t synch either reliably so I pretty much do sequencing in the computer and use the synth as a sound module.
Was that a Drumbrute you had a problem with, or a Drumbrute Impact?

With both my Minibrute and my long-since-sold Drum Brute, neither would reliably synch over MIDI with my Mac running Live and Logic. On other forums I've seen other folks have issues, and others have had things work just fine. Arturia wasn't much help via customer service. To this day, I'm not sure what the issue is or was. And at least for me, it's just easier now to just add the arp plug in to my Live flow when I need that out of the Minibrute, even though its on board is pretty nice.
