And I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Cabronita Baritone seems to be 27" scale (and not 30"). I couldn't find the info, so I Photoshoped the above picture and made the body match with the Cabronita Thinline. That's one extra fret, and would be a conversion neck, if I'm not mistaken. However, the Toronado is a true 24.75" like the original, no conversion here.
I remember it being 27" scale also.
And I'm glad Squier was aware enough to know that they should just make all the oddball 24.75" scale guitars at once.
I'm sure some Fender dealer in '64 looked at the new Duo-Sonic II and thought, "That's not a Duo-Sonic. That's a Mustang".

sweetwater has some FSR squiers up as well, altho the only offsets are jazz basses. the us is getting their esquires too it seems.

England gets DBL esquires and we get barf white. Not even oly white. BARF white.

Not cool

Dude, that blue and tort Toronado looks amazing! Great job, Squier. They’ve really been killing it lately. I feel like it’s Fender’s playing ground. Where they can let their hair down and get weird unapologetically.
You made me have a look again and now I'm imagining the Graphite Supersonic but with a tort pickguard...I hope they continue this trend.
I hope they follow through and actually release the Toronado ... and in Australia!
What's strange is, in my experience, Australia gets Fender Japanese guitars on occasion to dealers like Found Sound but then the Fender US line is super rare for y'all. I'm sure distance plays a factor but Fender Japan is usually very strict about not exporting their guitars. So yeah, hopefully y'all get to enjoy this line as well.

to be fair i think i like barf white more than oly white. that being said daphne blue still wins. for some reason the uk and spain got a super limited release daphne bullet tele that is sold out almost everywhere. i would also like to be able to afford/justify the daphne blue FSR jazzmaster tbh

They're only strict about (not) exporting to the US :) (And apparently only after the release of the AVRI line aside from some small 'special' runs.)

Fender Japan guitars have been routinely available here for a long time, which is why there are so many of them floating around Aus. I had the choice of about 8 different brand new CIJ Jazzmasters in all of the cool colours with matching headstocks (Daphne Blue, Burgundy Mist Metallic, Seafoam Gren, Candy Apple Red) hung on the wall in Venue Music (RIP) Sydney back around 2004 (sadly the best sounding one was finished in CAR which was my least favourite aesthetically...)

I get the feeling they're fairly easily available in Europe, too. The whole 'exclusive for Japan / never intended for export' thing certain online sellers like to copy into their ads is bollocks ;)

MIA Fenders are available too, but in the case of offsets they're 'rare' because nobody buys them new, and why would we? The list price is marked up to obscene amounts by the importer acting as 'Fender Australia'. You could come visit us here, see the sights/wildlife and then as a souvenir pick up an American Original Jazzmaster for the low low price of just $3900. They don't sell, and stores don't want stock sitting there for years unsold.

I brought my AVRI Jaguar in from Japan when the AUD was at parity with the USD, it was probably 3/5 the cost of buying one in an Australian store even after shipping and import duties.

Ah fair enough, I figured their restrictions had to be loose to some degree with how many CIJ/MIJ are floating around. The only ones I've found really troublesome to find are their models like the Swinger. Yeah, that's a pretty crap price point to be had. I wonder if the mod shop will find its way to y'all, although if it did, I imagine it'd still be very steep.

Aesthetically speaking, they're gorgeous. But the Squier branding always puts me off  I know it's just my own personal bias, because I've seen plenty of Squiers here.

None of these really interest me. Was really hoping for a reissue of the Musuar. Or at least some metallic colours in the other offsets. Sick of all the pastel colours except for a proper fiesta red which Squier don't offer.

I didn’t know there was a mini Jazzmaster for kids until I just saw this video saying how bad they are:

Too bad, would be awesome to give as a present. Maybe needs setup or mods? We have to pass on what we have learned to new generations of offsetters

I contacted Fender Australia -
Hello, when do you expect the Squier Paranormal Series Toronado Electric Guitar Lake Placid Blue model 0377000502 will be available in Australia? thank you

Response not promising -
Thanks for getting in touch with us. Unfortunately I’m not able to provide any information, there has been no official announcement about a Paranormal Series of instruments.
Regards,
Fender Music Australia

Well, to be fair, the Fender representative is correct, there has been no official announcement from either Fender or Squier so far, only leaks. At that point, of course, we know that's coming, but from his point of view, he's just following the company's guidelines. He's not to blame. ;)

Fair enough, people have been talking about them for so long and with amount of the pictures also available I made an incorrect assumption, seeing as some of other higher end Fender models are now available
