i really dislike lots of that colourful 60's artwork. it's the 60's version of those guys who cover themselves in tribal tattoos.

I know I say it a lot but ffs this is criminal. I don’t think anybody could say with any validity that a Bigsby is better than the Offset Vibrato. I know personal preferences, with guitars or anything else on earth, are subjective, but in every measurable way a Bigsby is a huge step down (pun not intended). The limited range of movement in strumming motion, the ease or difficulty of setting up/restringing, the range in pitch manipulation, etc. is all just better with the Offset.hverlind wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 1:35 amThis modded Jag doesn't look half bad...

Is that an aftermarket neck also? Has the weird blocks they use lately on the CV Jag/TVL Jazzmaster, etc. it’s not the MOST offensive example, but it’s pretty bad. I guess less so if it’s just a partscaster or something, obviously.

My first thought was that it might be one of those first edition VM Jaguars that came stock with dual humbuckers, a hardtail and a Strat jack.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 9:20 amIs that an aftermarket neck also? ...apparently/supposedly 1966 Gibson Melody Maker

Although... it's so ugly it's almost cool again. I mean, for half the price (€700) I would get it and rock it as is!

These ones are the worst. Where if you squint they sorta look like a guitar, but when you focus in on it there's not one bit of it that hasn't been ruinedfever606 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:12 amSomeone call The Hague over this war crime...

Re: "Why did you do it? Why did you do this thing to me?"
Got introduced to a guy at work via zoom and he saw the guitars I've got in the background and we got talking. He showed me a picture of his '59 Les Paul Junior single cut that he bought for £95 in the 80s because some hair metal asshole had added a floyd and a high gain humbucker then sprayed it black... I immediately thought of this thread.
