Here is a guard that has switches cut into the guard.

Got this in a PM
Hey! Saw some of your posts on the Pawn Shop series VI conversion to "reissue-esque" specs and I wanted to check with you because I thought you mentioned you were making replacement 'guards for them with the 3 Jag pickup configuration. I am on the fence between a PS in Candy Apple Red (because I like the matching headstock) to mod to make it more "original" looking and the upcoming Squier VI, which doesn't have a matching headstock on any of the colors, and lacks a tremolo lock, but even after putting a real locking tremolo on it's still half the price of the Fender, plus it also has the correct electronics configuration AND a bound, block-inlaid neck. So I'm up in the air. However, I already picked up the lefty Jag knob-plate and 4-switch plate from Rutters a few weeks ago, and I wanted to get an idea of what I can get a proper pickguard to match them with to complete the look. Are you selling these, and if so, for how much? Also in one post, you said "Only two of the screw holes are not covered by the original guard if you are worried about returning it to original condition", and I wanted to ask what you meant by that because I wasn't sure.

Thanks much!
I was originally going to do the jag plate but since the 4 switch plate is available again I didn't bother with it as it would be tough to position in the existing cavity. The guards I've designed are for the original style Bass VI plates that Marc is producing and not the reverse Jag plate. I wanted it to look as close to original as possible. As far as what I meant by the screw locations:
Image
The two screws (one is covered by the mute) in the Blue are in new locations that will NOT be covered by the original guard. The two in the red are in new locations that WILL be covered by the original guard if you decide to revert it back. All other screws are in their original locations including the bottom screw on the plate. I highly doubt many would be that concerned about reverting it back once converted though. As to the new Squier Bass VI it is a cool instrument and I'm sure I'll own one but I highly doubt it will be as good as the PSVI. I guess it really depends on how much you plan on using it. To me it was certainly worth the price of admission for the PSVI. I have about a grand into it to get it the way it is. Considering that the Squier for me would need better pickups ($150+) snazzy new paint job ($150+) New locking AVRI or Japan Trem ($50-75) New pickguard ($35-65) Staytrem Bridge and Fender Mute ($135). That puts you $850-900 which is not much different from what I'm at with the advantage of an alder body not to mention a better resell value. But if your not using it a lot and just leave it as is then the Squier becomes a pretty attractive price point.

As to the price point For my guards I'll have that posted in the for sale section and on the Facebook Bass VI page soon. I'm trying to iron out one issue with Marc before I finalize all of my designs. Very soon though.

Reviving this old thread, because I finally managed to convert my PS VI. I didn't quite convert it to vintage specs, as I didn't see the point in doing so: Why not use the JM bridge pup rout if it's there anyway, and why not use the screw positions and specs already present? It's definitely closer to vintage though.

Here's how my best of both worlds Bass VI turned out, thanks to Faction Guitars, and especially Lava Guards:
