I think this should be simple question but I have had trouble finding an answer. I have seen everything from 3/8" to 3/4".
I am building a guitar with JM pickups. I have a set of Classic Vibe and Curtis Novak pickups. The CV pickups have thick foam on the bottom of them. When I squeeze tightly the pickup, cover and foam are about 15/16". The Novak pickups have no foam - do I need to get some?
Anyway... how deep SHOULD a Jazzmaster pickup route be?
Thanks!
