It isn't a pretty picture, but it sure did sound good.

Pardon the Tele, it was a backup, I swear. Didn't touch it all night.
God bless the Midway. I worked there for a year or two "doing sound" (putting up a kick mic and a few vocal mics), and it was great. Awesome group of people they have there.

Amen, brother. Maybe we crossed paths sometime between '08-'22.

I had those amps up loud. Had the engineer mic the Bassman and crank the lows and low mids. The girlfriend of an employee told me after it was the loudest set she's ever seen there in 5 years of being there all the time.

I hope she didn't see the single tear roll down my cheek amidst the sweat.

And what a great staff. When they read the citation from the State Congress and letter from the mayor on Saturday, it got real dusty in there real quick, based on all the watery eyes.

It's definitely possible that we ran into each other, I was there on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in 2015 - 2017ish.

What I love about the Midway is that they pay bands. Even if no one showed up to the gig they'll at least toss you free drinks and a little gas money. You can't say that for most places in town. The owner, Jay, is a real solid dude. I'm not sure if Lenny or Mike are still tending bar but they're the best.

What's the tiny interface?
Lekato mini cube.

Cheapo Chinese thing that comes in many brands. It’s got 8 amps, 8 IR cabs, reverb, delay & chorus or phaser. With 3 presets, tuner & 5 hour battery. Sounds great & dirt cheap, perfect for being away from home. And you can dial it all in with the controls, no computer needed.

Thank you, I'm after having to make a strategic move and I don't think the neighbours would appreciate my noise😆

I have also purchased one of these because of this very helpful post , now for the month long wait for shipping from China.

Today's home setup.

I only use a small, portable pedalboard and change my pedal setup depending on the band (currently in 3). I use this setup with the weird band. When I play with them I also run a Korg Minilogue through that chain (using an AB pedal).

Partsmaster -> tuner -> '86 Rat -> Fairfield Ring Mod (usually with a foot pedal to control frequency) -> OBNE Dweller -> El Capistan -> Aen's Wizard of Pitch -> Polara -> my home amp, a Silvertone 1481 that's been modded to the hilt.
