New Guy (kind of)...Can’t ‘Edit’ My Post?

Hello,

I’m a new guy...we’ll...returning old guy.

I just made a post in a thread about the wiring configuration in the Fender Marauder Type I...I made a couple typos and wanted to ‘Edit’ to correct and Re-submit.

There is no ‘Edit’ button/icon I can see or find in or around my post.

I hit the “ icon and ended up posting a ‘quoted’ version of my original post...lame I know.

Any help would be appreciated!

As long as you are logged in (so the software knows which posts are yours), you should have a pencil icon (Edit Post) next to the " ! " (Report) and ' " '(Reply with Quote) icons in the top right of your messages.

From memory there's an issue with 'new' accounts not being able to edit posts.

I can't edit my posts either and it's really irritating.

PAT PEND users can't edit posts in some forums, though they can now in Main Stage and Side Stage. Pat # users have full editing privileges. If you're over 50 posts and did not auto add into the Pat # group send a message to an Admin.

I was auto added to Pat # but I can't seem to be able to edit my own posts?

I probably won't get us through this tonight and this may be an impossible question, but do you recall if you were ever able to edit posts in non-offset?

We'll get it fixed up and hopefully identify and address other users similarly affected.

How does one become an ex pat? I've always been curious. Sorry for the OT.

First you become a pat and to do that you've got to travel back in time and use a certain forum. Then you've got to leave that forum in frustration and come here in 2006 and start this place which makes you an expat from the other place. It's pretty straightforward, really.
