That looks really cool, and original too! Some slight Mus-Uar vibes, but with a better execution and layout. What's the story on this one?

Re: Show me the Green
Thanks! It's a Cross Guitars creation that was finished by Copacetic Customs. I had the idea of mixing a Musicmaster Bass style pickguard with a JM body and Pat created this masterpiece.alexpigment wrote: ↑Mon Jun 13, 2022 2:28 pmThat looks really cool, and original too! Nice! I was thinking it was a Jaguar body and a 24" scale, but the normal 25.5 makes this even cooler to me. The brown pickup covers are also a classy move. Thanks for the link - the Cross Guitars thread is just nothing but drool-worthy creations.

Re: Show me the Green
I've just found the pics I had taken for this thread months ago and forgotten to post
Here are my green guitars... sorry about the mediocre pics.

My favourite green I've ever seen is the AVRI shade of Sherwood.
My Marauder is a close second. It looks very green in bright light and nearly black in low light.

Yea, the AVRI shade is certainly gorgeous. It’s closer to a forest green compared to vintage Sherwood.

I like that a lot. It's close to the color of the Strat Jaguar018 posted a couple of pages back.
Any idea what that color is called?

No clue. You could ask Sonichris, though, since he made it!

Hey, I know the third one!

And would have almost bought one of those Jungle Masters at the age of 18.
How are they?
I was always curious about the Revelation guitars - but in Austria they just don‘t exist. Your Pickup choice and that Tortoise guard look amazing!

Re: Show me the Green
I thought you might

It's a wonderful addition to the green gang...All thanks to you. I still love it to bits. Thank you so much!

It's not great, but not horrible either. I would say in the same ballpark as Affinity Squiers quality-wise. Considering they were €99 new when I bought mine, that's not too bad.MayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 11:07 pmAnd would have almost bought one of those Jungle Masters at the age of 18.

Over the years I've upgraded most of the components (Tonerider alnico pickups, better vibrato with machined steel block, Alpha pots...). I had a nice Squier CV '50s Strat neck on it for a long time, but the neck pocket is a non-standard shape, squarer than a Strat but rounder than a Tele, and the visible gap was bothering me, so it's back to the original neck for now.
What bothers me the most about mine is the neck pocket thing and the color ― it's supposed to be Surf green but it's actually a more yellowish shade of pistachio green. The color of this model seems to have fluctuated a little over the years it's been for sale at Musicstore.
I wanted one very badly but was hoping they'd make the Deluxe version (with the JM vibrato) in greenburst too. That never happened so I ended up ordering one of these from a UK shop a week or so before Brexit was to take effect.MayTheFuzzBeWithYou wrote: ↑Sun Oct 02, 2022 11:07 pmI was always curious about the Revelation guitars - but in Austria they just don‘t exist. The stock P90 shaped neodymium humbuckers were too hot and boomy for my taste, so I replaced them with Firebird pickups ― the ATN-5 circuit is much more usable with them as well. The pickguard is the stock one ― mediocre printed tort I'm afraid, but I didn't want to bother cutting a new one (hence the choice of pickups, too).

That looks even better next to an amp! What an awesome looking guitar. Unique and cool.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?
