I weighed it this morning and it is a hair under 9lbs. The original ash blank was at least 14lbs though, so I'm pretty happy that it isn't heavier. 9lbs is surely at the high end of my desired weight range, but just like with the prototype Basswood Orion, it's valuable to know how I can use the heavier (or lighter) pieces of wood, and the results to expect. Anyway, between the super dense ash body and all of the chambering, there is tons of sustain and resonance. I ordered a custom set of strings (68-44-32-20w-14-11) this morning, in order to get more consistent string tension between strings, as well as a slightly better bridge, since this one has too wide of spacing. The neck is 24.75", 12" radius BTW.
