Yikes!!
Once you've factored in shipping that'll be over 7 grand for a refin with a "modified" pickguard & circuitry, non-original tailpiece & a new case.
I'd want to see under the guard & make sure he can supply the original bridge too. In the context of the sale, that Mastery isn't an upgrade, IMO.

I’ve followed the restoration of this guitar. He seems like a nice guy and someone who has the skill to have done a not too intrusive restoration.

If it plays well and sounds good it’s going to be worth it to someone.
I think it looks pretty good.
I have very mixed feelings about vintage guitars anymore, and that goes triple for vintage amps.

The Tremolo should be a pat pending.

He describes it as "original" but I think he's referring to the notion that Jazzmasters "originally" had this vibrato, not a stoptail.
I dunno, after reading surfin_bird's comment I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
The price still seems way too high though.

I'm sure he picked it up that way, and probably doesn't know there a different era tremolo systems.

The seller is Yuuki McClure of Player Grade Vintage, really talented restoration guy who mostly works on Gibson guitars, but knows his way around Fender too. Rest assured that it plays great, if Yuuki has done the work on it.
I think it's a pretty good deal, all things considered. And being in the UK.

+1 on Yuuki, he even managed to straighten a couple of my vintage 50s ABR-1 bridges that were collapsing a bit.

I'm not defending the price, but I often have to remind myself of how different the UK market is from North America. There's still a huge premium paid on vintage Fenders there.

Prices for vintage guitars are going trough the roof here...
Currently there is a local sale here for a '62 Jazzmaster in 3TSB where the asking price is 11.500,- €
A few years ago I was offered a Oly White refin '64 for 2000,- € (I still kick myself for not buying that one....)
So yeah... Insane.....
