Wow, it's really him. The worst guitar I've ever seen.

"i read in a guitar magazine flatter fretboards make you shred harder so i made the flattest fretboard therefore i must shred super fucking hard"Pacafeliz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 10:54 pm...what about this beautiful partsmaster JM which has had the fretboard sanded FLAT![]()

in all seriousness, the price is a bit..... ambitious. i mean i love b&b necks more than anyone but i wouldn't go near a vintage partsmaster at that price. but hey, given guitar guitar are currently trying to get £5k for a b&b refin jaguar with bad routing, what do i know.

I mean... For years I would shred on this thing just to annoy people. 9.5" radius. Sounds great with a ton of gain. Re: "Why did you do it? Why did you do this thing to me?"
I was trying a Duo-Sonic II recently that was “all original except for a refret”. I remarked on how the fretboard was remarkable for almost 60 years olds, almost like it was brand new. In actuality, it had been planed flat like this too, but my attempt at dry sarcasm was met with cheery sales patter about Brazilian rosewood. He didn’t look so cheery when I told him I didn’t know if I should buy Brazilian rosewood given how enthusiastically customs officials toss anything made with it into the furnace. Another misfired attempt at dry humour on my part, although the look on his face was worth it. And it was a quick way out of sales talk on a guitar that was a horrid play.Pacafeliz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 10:54 pm...what about this beautiful partsmaster JM which has had the fretboard sanded FLAT![]()

The idea of Duo-Sonics as shredding machines really tickles me, though. Maybe I made a mistake not taking it?
